Repayment StartRepayment starts 1 year after completion of the course
Interest Rate4% p.a.
Interest Rate – Up to ₹50 lakh4% p.a. for studies in India and abroad
Interest During MoratoriumSimple interest is charged during the repayment holiday/moratorium period
Interest After MoratoriumInterest is compounded after commencement of repayment
DefaultIn case of default, normal applicable interest plus penal interest is charged, or the concessional rate as specified, whichever is higher
UDID RequirementUDID registration is mandatory irrespective of the loan amount
UDID AuthorityDepartment of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities (DEPwD), Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Government of India
NHFDC LinkageRepayment period is aligned with the guidelines of the NHFDC scheme
Refinance ConditionLoans with repayment beyond the prescribed 10-year ceiling are not eligible for refinance under the scheme
Higher Education ConcessionNo additional rebate/concession in interest rate is available for higher education
