CIBIL/CIC RequirementMinimum 680 CIC score of CIBIL TU or equivalent, including -1/0/Nil/No Hit
Property RequirementApplicant/co-applicant must own the residential property and have rooftop rights where the solar system will be installed
Roof AreaSufficient roof area as mandated by MNRE
Electricity BillLatest electricity bill confirming ownership of the residential property is required
Maximum Age75 years
Savings AccountApplicant must mandatorily be a Savings Account holder
Loan Amount – Up to 3 kWMaximum ₹2 lakh
Loan Amount – Above 3 kW to 10 kWMaximum ₹6 lakh
General Loan LimitUp to ₹50,000–₹70,000 per kW, subject to the applicable maximum
Margin – Loan up to ₹2 lakh10%

Bank Statement6 months account statement required for loans above ₹2 lakh
Maximum Repayment Period10 years, including moratorium

DocumentsApplication form, sanction letter, KYC documents, PAN/Aadhaar, solar quotation, required MNRE feasibility reports, ITR/Form 16 where applicable, 6-month account statement, latest electricity bill and property ownership document

DisbursementLoan amount plus borrower’s contribution is paid directly to the vendor/EPC contractor after required MNRE feasibility reports are submitted

Moratorium InterestInterest accrued during moratorium is to be paid as and when charged

Vendor RequirementSolar rooftop systems should be supplied/installed by MNRE-empanelled vendors through the applicable DISCOM arrangement
